Hull's 1st goal puck: $51,750

ORLAND PARK, Ill.. -- Bobby Hull's first career goal puck sold for $51,750 during Pat Quinn's Sport Collectors Ltd. sale. It was one of six pucks that were plucked from Hull's warehouse for the sale. Both his 500th and 600th career goal pucks sold for $23,000 each, while his 400th goal puck, sold for $6,050. The pucks were encased in silver or gold metal and bore an inscribed plaque demoting the milestone. The pucks were part of 28 Hull items in the sale. Hull's first year jersey with the 1972-73 Winnipeg Jets sold for $6,728; game-used skates from early in Hull's career sold for $10,294. Among other items in the sale, an original Charles Conlon photograph showing Ty Cobb swinging sold for $10,462; Bill Madlock's Topps Rookie Award Trophy in 1974 sold for $949; and 34 signed Basketball Hall of Fame First Day Cover cachets sold for $522. They were signed by basketball HOFers, including 14 members who are deceased.
